Two Precious Fawns In Our Yard

Yesterday morning after I finished eating my breakfast, I went to the kitchen sink to rinse my dishes, and look at what I saw!!  A Mother Deer with her two fawns.  Aren't they absolutely precious!  We are thinking that just possibly, the Doe gave birth to them right here in our yard.  They can't be very old at all.  Just look at how tiny they are.  They looked so very adorable as they took each wobbly step following Mom.

Here are a couple more photos.  McKenna took these photos from the Dining Room window and they turned out pretty good.

What a beautiful way to start the morning, wouldn't you agree?

Happy Weekend Everyone!

Art of Abstraction Online Class with Alisa Burke

I am currently taking Alisa Burke's new online class: The Art of Abstraction.

This is a wonderful class and I am having tons of fun.  We are in Week Four.  We are learning so many different techniques to apply towards creating Abstract Art.

The above is a photo of my original "Vase Face".  After I completed it and showed it to my husband, he said:  "You should call it "Vase Face"..... so.....

Then after my daughter saw it she suggested that I draw flowers for hair.  Here is "Vase Face II" with flowers....

And last but not least, here is "Vase Face III".

Are these drawings strange?  You bet cha!  And I'm loving every minute creating them!!

Here is another Abstract face drawing that I completed:

How to measure your Dog for a Snood

We now have a Snood Measurement Guide to help assist you with your Dog Snood measuring needs.

Have I mentioned lately how WONDERFUL my Daughter - McKenna is?  Well she is!  Just look at this awesome Snood Measurement Guide she made for our website to assist everyone in properly measuring their long eared dog for a Dog Snood.

We have several fabrics to choose from for all your dog snood needs.

If your dog is suffering from various ear problems like vasculitis, hematoma, etc. we also make snoods to help aid in the healing of these ear conditions.   This is a photo of Sadie from Tennessee wearing her new Pink Harlequin snood.  Sadie needs this snood to help her while taking walks.  You see, she steps on her beautiful ears causing them to bleed.  Now - wearing her new snood - problem solved!

So if your long eared dog is in need of a Snood, here is the link to our Dog Snood Page.

In addition to every day cotton snoods, and snoods to help aid in healing purposes, we offer Water Resistant Dog Snoods, too.  The fabric used for these snoods is absolutely Beautiful.

Have a Happy Day Everyone!   Until next time,

Joan

Letter Love 101 Online Class Completed!

Oh My!!  Where in the world did February go?  That is CRAZY!!

This is a photo of one of the lessons from the Letter Love 101 online class with Joanne Sharpe.  Her class started on February 1st and ended on February 29.  I can't believe how fast the time went by.

Joanne's class was a BLAST.  One of the BEST online classes I have taken so far.  She teaches so many lettering techniques and more.  If you are looking for a GREAT online class I highly recommend this one.

I still have lessons to complete, since I got behind in practicing.  But the super news is, once you sign up for the class you have Unlimited Access Forever!  So, now I will be able to practice, review, practice review for as long as I want.

Here are more images of what I completed:
With this, we were to create our very own font.

There are some totally Talented Artists in this class, and since I am a "Letter Art Newbie", it can be intimidating; however....I kept my chin up and continued on!!

Here is another one of my completed projects:

And the last one here, is one of my favorite quotes from Picasso:

I think why I love this quote so much is because I don't want to grow up!!  And... because it is so very true... children just go for it!!!

Letter Love 101: Art Journaling with Joanne Sharpe

Hello Everyone!

I just signed up for this new online class called Letter Love 101:  Art Journaling with Joanne Sharpe.  It looks amazing!  I can't wait to start learning.  Joanne's work is absolutely beautiful, and her lettering is amazing.  I  believe this is her first online class too and it sounds like she is putting her heart and soul in to it.

I have taken a few other online classes, and all of them have been extremely enjoyable.  What I truly love is when the instructor designs the class for unlimited access using private blogs!  This is particularly important to me because I like to go back from time to time and re-learn what is being taught!  No pressures!

Sound like fun?  There is still time to join her class.  Just stop by her blog.  She has tons of information describing so many things about this new class!

Have a fun day!
